Homemade Eggnog French Toast

Ingredients


Loaf of sour dough bread sliced (no corn syrup or harmful oils)
6 organic pasture raised eggs
Pure Maple syrup or monk fruit syrup
Vanilla almond milk
cinnamon
2 Tablespoons of coconut oil
*optional nutmeg
*optional powdered sugar

Preparation

-Beat 6 eggs together with a touch of vanilla and amaretto extract (just a drop or two, this stuff is powerful!) with a splash of almond milk and add cinnamon.
-Find a flat pan you can soak slices of sour dough bread in on both sides for 2 to 3 minutes.
-Once soaked through, in a pan on the stove, heat coconut oil and fry up the sour dough soaked in the egg batter. Brown on both sides to your liking and serve with either pure maple syrup or you can look for a monk fruit based 0 calorie syrup such as magic syrup by birch benders. You can also add powdered sugar.

-*Optional to serve with eggs and bacon.
