His inspiring story of dedication and commitment serves as an example for anyone who wants to transform their life.

More about Kenny from his website:
As a retired US Army Major, I was blessed to have a very rewarding military career. Now that I’m retired, I bring the same passion, dedication, and enthusiasm I had serving this great nation, to helping my clients achieve their health and fitness goals, realize their own value & potential, and to enjoy a greater measure of life!

Qualifications: I have had the distinct privilege of serving with and learning from some of the most skilled fitness professionals, some of which did not have one fitness certification.

  • 20+ years experience helping some of America’s Heroes stay fit to fight
  • Certified Personal Trainer
  • Master Fitness Trainer (US Army)
  • CPR Certified
  • Advanced Nutrition Certificate
  • Accomplished Amateur Bodybuilder with recent/relevant experience
  • Gym Owner

Fitness Philosophy: My fitness philosophy is one size does NOT fit all, so do what works best for you.  I believe in using various styles of training in my fitness program (weight lifting, HIIT, functional training, etc). Often, a person’s fitness goals will steer them toward a specific style of training. Bottom Line, get in where you FIT in!

Life Philosophy: T.B.D. = Trust God, Be Yourself, Do Your Best

Kenny reminds the Fire Within nation of the importance of experimenting to find the exercise regiment that provides results for you. Two people could do the same workout for 5 months and see different results. You have to experiment. Start by learning and doing research but then you need to experiment.

We also discussed the pros and cons and benefits of intermittent fasting.

More is not better. You need to give your muscles time to regenerate or you risk injury or ineffective workouts.

Top three things to start seeing positive change in your health and fitness from Kenny Ragsdale:

  1. See your healthcare provider. Find out if you have pre-existing issues that could cause issues.
  2. Get your nutrition dialed in.
  3. Get started.
